IMPACT OF OUR CANIRVAL PROJECT
69 People took part in the History Knights Luton Carnival Parade entry
70 Children attended a workshop in their school about Luton’s medieval history
37 children were also joined by their families and teaching staff
90 % of participants were from backgrounds underrepresented in heritage
Around 80,000 people watched our parade entry, raising awareness of Luton’s medieval history
The majority of participants were from global majority backgrounds. They were especially interested to discover the parallels between the traditional dress of England and the traditional dress from their parents’ and grandparents’ countries of birth
